Former Hobe Sound Mobile Home Parks Still Vacant

Thursday, the developer of Sunset Ridge, will ask the martin County Local Planning Agency for a change in land-use designation to allow for his project to go forward.

The developer wants to turn what was formerly Bloomfield Meadows Mobile Home Park into condominiums.

Between 2005 and 2007 an estimated 1200 Treasure Coast mobile home residents were displaced when their mobile home parks were closed so developers could build condos and other projects. Little progress has been made in the development of those projects.
