Another horse was found butchered in Miami-Dade. The horse was stabbed in the neck at least twice Sunday night or Monday morning.
The animal was likely alive when its chest and legs were sliced off. The body was then burned near the stable.
A foal, still alive, was found lying next to the mare's body.
At least 18 horses in the Miami area have been butchered. Horse meat is illegal to sell in the US and can sell for as much as $20 a pound on the black market.
